During the second virtual GFFA 2022, more than 2.200 registered international guests from politics, business, science and civil society discussed in 21 sessions the role soils play in tackling the global challenges of our times.

At the 14th Berlin Agriculture Ministers’ Conference at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) 68 Agriculture Ministers adopted an ambitious final communiqué.
The kick-off event marked the official start of the GFFA events.
15 Expert Panels
Representatives from politics, business, science and civil society discussed different perspectives and focuses of the 2022 GFFA’s topic.

Following each expert panel, interested participants could engage in an in-depth conversation with the panelists and ask further questions during the 30-minute deep dives.

Two high-level panles hosted by the European Commission and the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) took place.
During the high-level panels the topic of the 2022 GFFA: ”Sustainable Land Use: Food Security Starts with the Soil” was thoroughly analysed.
For the fourth time, the Think Aloud! – GFFA Science Slam took place at the GFFA.

At this short presentation competition, four Science Slams lasting ten minutes that relate to the main subject “Sustainable Land Use: Food Security Starts with the Soil” were presented.

Moritz Nabel was the winner of the fourth Think Aloud! – GFFA Science Slam with his talk on “Our system has a bug – let’s make use of it!”.
